My Solo Project

" After almost 40 years of standing behind more artists than I could reasonably remember, playing practically every Blues,R&B, Funk, Pop, Jazz standard, etc. cover one could think of a moment of clarity descended unto me. First off bass players rarely do solo projects and when they do it's more than likely a lot of out front soloing . Those records are really more for peers, other bass players and musicians. So I've decided to record some of my favorite tunes from artists as diverse as Ronnie Laws , Citizen Cope, Ashlee Simpson etc. and throw some Dean in them.

If I had to label the style of the record I have to call it jazzy R&B with pop sensibility ha ! I've got some of my favorite musical pals on the project including two serious cats out of my Alberta experiences.
